🌹 Behind the Scenes of a Rose Nursery: One Grower’s Journey 🌹
Join us for an engaging and inspiring evening with me, owner of My Black Thumb, as I will share the realities, lessons, and joys of life as a rose grower—from propagation to problem-solving and everything in between.

📅 March 13 & 14  American Rose Society – Carolina District Mid-Winter Meeting
We will be attending the American Rose Society – Carolina District Mid-Winter Meeting at the Brookstown Inn in Winston-Salem, NC.
This will be our third year participating as a vendor, and I am very excited to meet fellow rose lovers there.

If you have a specific rose in mind, feel free to message me—I’d be happy to bring it to the event for you with 10% off.

🚚 Shipping Schedule

• Bare-root roses: March 10 – March 20

• Potted roses: March 2 – May 25 (Based on your planting zone)

  • May 25 will be the final week for shipping potted roses this season.

💻 Virtual Sales (March–April)

From March through April, we will host virtual sales and auction events.
You will be able to view roses live on camera and place orders in real time.
There will also be special discounts and free roses during these events.

🌱 Nursery Open for Local Pickup

April 1 – May 31​

• Opening dates may vary, so please check our Facebook group for weekly updates.

🚧 Seasonal Closure & Garden Expansion

The nursery will be closed for public from June 1 until Spring 2027.
During this time, we will focus on major improvements, including:

• Installing irrigation throughout the rose garden

• Planting approximately 500 roses in the ground

• Expanding perennial plantings, such as hydrangeas and mums
